The season is in full swing now, and after 16 games Sheffield United are in 8th, just 3 points off the play offs. So who feels the Blades will win promotion? And will it be automatic or through the play offs?

At the moment the players are a disgrace to the Blades, even under clough the players tried harder. We need players of the calibre of what Warnock got, strong, versatile, pace and guts. Until the players show this kind of attitude the blades will not be going up but will always hover just above relegation with the odd win and lots of draws and defeats. Sharp must play alongside Done with Sammon just behind. Adams is still not the full article as yet so is better as a sub. Baxter is good on occasions but is really bad when he is not. The defence needs taller players with a good idea of what's happening with opposition strikers who have not got the ball. I am not so sure about Hammond, some players don't know how to compete in the lower divisions. I don't know if the Blades will manage to get into the playoffs never mind promotion this season but miracles do happen. We will see what happens in the january window but by then we could be in relegation zone and really in trouble. I hope I am wrong.
{Ed001's Note - are things really that bad? I have not managed to see any of your games this season to know, so I am having to base my knowledge on results and the standings in the table. On the face of it things don't look too bad, it is interesting that you paint a gloomier picture.}

Well Ed001, I have watched the blades regularly and to me they seem to start of well but then let the opposition get the upper hand. Crewe beat us who were bottom, shrewsbury walloped us who were 3rd from bottom, I dread what barnsley will do. The blades, it seems, cannot raise their game like the teams they play, no matter where they are placed the opposition always plays like its a cup final but the blades play like they are bottom of league and deserve to be there. I like Nigel Adkins and I know and hope he turns it round before the top of league runs away from us. I think that the top four teams will drift away from the top 6 by March and hopefully we are in at least play offs. Too many loans in some teams into 6 who will lose them in January, look what happened to Tranmere Rovers. I will always support the blades no matter what league they are in and the Owls fans laughing liken hyenas will not bother me. The Blades will come good but when I have no idea.

Also Ed I think the Blades will win 3-1 or 3-2 against Barnsley. Then will promptly lose the next two as always.

They obviously didn't listen to you, as they drew with Barnsley then won the following game!

Glad to be wrong. I prefer Matt Done upfront because he really gives 100%.
