Just been told by a senior blades official that David Weir has officially rejected the chance to manage the Blades. I understand the transfer policy of the club does not fit well with DW as he wanted full control of any transfers. I am now told that Michael Appleton with Morgan as number two now looks most likely.

What a load of rubbish. David weir will take it if offered it he wants to get into management so to start at a big club like sufc would be a massive starting point for him

Lads. just been flicking through youngest lads match of the day mag for this month. according to this, utd, s no 1 transfer target is Michael higdon from motherwell. he was spl top scorer. has anybody else heard this.

Appleton may be the only manager I've heard of who would let others say who he could have and who he couldn't. Track record of it even. Just shows how bad a state we are in then, if an incoming manager not only has to sell, and reduce the wage bill, and also cannot control who (if anybody) we buy in. If this is the case, I just hope somebody tells us who is in charge of the puppet manager.

Thats funny seeing as most bookies won't take bets on Weir and best odds are 1:10 so I would suggest the senior official is trying to blow smoke where the sun don't shine

Could be right as this board likes to mess about with the transfers as we all know, So why bother with a manager and let's save more money what a mess we are in.

Agree8 Disagree2

Michael Higdon will not sign teams in high level is looking at him now and we got no money to buy player got to sell player first

Agree9 Disagree2

According to sky, David weir to be appointed within the next 48 hours.

Should not have sacked danny wilson

Sell yes and more then just one player I would say 5 or 6 out or sold with 2 in and hope that no players are hurt during the season, So do not expect a lot in the transfer market again. We will be told that we are after this player and that player but it's just a smoke screen by Mr McCabe and the board to make sure we buy our season tickets as after they will tell us we just missed out on the players we wanted seem to have been here before don't we.
