Why all this talk about getting another striker in? The manager already has plenty of good strikers, and he's changed the system so we only play with one anyway!
We have 2 not including Ironside. 1 of which is injured. We need a forward
Ironside, Porter and Taylor are competing for one starting place as central striker, with Miller joining them when fit. Then we've got McDonald, Miller, Coady, and Murphy able to play in "the hole" behind them, with deGirolamo competing with them when fit. Whichever way you look at it, we've got 8 players competing for 2 places in the team. That has to be more than enough!
Right we do only play with 1 forward and have 5 strikers on the books of the club. The others you have mentioned won't play up top at all bar Murphy and 2 of those 5 strikers are out with a serious injury and likely to miss most of the year.
We need a striker!
We do need a striker. From what I can see we have one out-and-out striker: Taylor. Porter is a CF, Brandy, Miller and Murphy are all players that can play off a CF like Porter and De G and Ironside are unproven. Another proper striker would be a great addition.
Another midfielder could be needed if McDonald goes to wolves, apparently having a medical today
See above - we have plenty of players who can play the McDonald role. Wasn't too thrilled by his performances for much of last season anyway. Sky report we've already agreed a fee and it's all down to the medical. The question is - why would he want to go to Wolves - we're bound to finish above them and they are on a slippery slope down the leagues.
