Michael Tonge & Michael brown in talks. Also erasing have offered us nick Blackman as they can't afford to pay there last instalment. Also coady and Brayford still an option.

Believable12 Unbelievable12

Wud give tonge a yr brwn is a no no passed his best, tonge has more quality on the ball which would be too good surely for league 1

Agree7 Disagree5

Tonge & Brown?

No ta!

Agree7 Disagree7

What a load of rubbish we are in talks with James Wallace and there's a good chance he will be our next signing he's another midfielder so why tonge and brown stop making things up

Agree8 Disagree4

{Ed029's Note - The rumour about Reading not being able to pay Blackman's last instalment is nonsense.

So our multi-millionnaire new Co-Owner has come in and we have been promised "game changing" investment (the clubs words, not mine) and so far we have signed 3 free transfers and spent a huge £150,000 on an unknown young striker from a pub team in Scotland. Game changingi think not.

Spreading loads and loads of money doesn't mean we will go up clough has got money and he is spreading it wisely and on the players that he thinks can get us out of the division not just signing one 2 million poud player who get fans excited

Agree8 Disagree2

Couldn't disagree more. Without the investment I doubt we would have been able to afford Clough, wouldn't have been able to afford the loan players that turned our season around and we would have had to sell Harry this summer. Would you rather the club just wasted money on random signings paying over the odds just to prove we have money or wait and get the right prices?

Agree10 Disagree3

Can ANYONE shed some light on brandy, Taylor and cuvelier. There are three players there that would walk into any other league one side?

Agree5 Disagree1

Mate it's June and we have signed three decent signing for this level and on frees! And a young forward with potential. Still more to come so stop moaning! UTB

Agree6 Disagree0

Money doesn't make a signing good, on that principle your saying you'd rather sign Craig Davies for 3million than Drogba on a free, I know it wouldn't happen its just an example before you start crying, why not sign quality players on a free? its just good business

Agree5 Disagree1

Whinge whinge whinge. I'm with the other posts above, why waste a couple of million on a player who ends up being a waste. In Nigel we trust, whatever he thinks is best then we should trust him. He's not done badly so far has he? Only Brian the so called Blade has complained about him! As for Cuvellier, injured until Christmas. Brandy, don't need when you have Flynn, Murphy and probably Davies. Taylor, no thanks, let him stay in Scotland

Agree5 Disagree3

I haven't seen the "game changing" comment by the club so can't disagree with you on that, but i'm not sure who you expect to sign in league one, even if we ignored the FFP rules.
If McNulty has anywhere near the impact as Scougall who was one for the future he'll be a great acquisition!

Agree5 Disagree0

Brannigan has stated that we are open to offers for Taylor & Brandy
I reckon Taylor could do a job but Brandy is a reckless unreliable inconsistent liability

Agree3 Disagree1

Three letters. F F P!!!

Agree3 Disagree0

The transfer window isn't officially open yet we've signed 4 players with a lot more to come when it does open, why are people even complaining about it for? UTB

Agree2 Disagree1

FFP means we simply cannot make multi-million pound signings as we please. It's the beginning of June, we've signed four good players and we've got another two months to get more. Deals where money is exchanged always take longer anyway so we probably won't be seeing news of any until July or August. But don't expect massive money being spent because FFP won't allow it, not until we get into the championship can we make tipsy kind of signings and fully utilise the Princes money.

To the above poster. Their isn't going to be loads more
signings as Clough is convinced he only wants a squad of 18/19. So they'll be a few but not loads. But I do agree with that he has made 4 good signings regardless of how much he's spent

Agree2 Disagree0

Sorry, but FFP is based on salaries, not player acquisition costs, so please get your facts straight before claiming big fees can't be paid. FFP is a generic term anyway, and the actual rules that the Football League has to abide by are contained in the SCMP, ie the Salary Cost Management Protocol. Paying a club a fee for a player is not counted towards the 65% of turnover that salaries have to remain within.

Mark Little (right back) to sign from Peterborough on a free transfer

Believable13 Unbelievable7

Always wondered what he's been up to since leaving neighbours

Agree11 Disagree1

Harry is definately going. This will in turn be used to bring in a marquee signing. One of two. Sharp or brayford.

Agree3 Disagree12

Sorry Wolves fans, Harry's definitely staying. Our MD said in his latest interview.

mark little would be gud signing along with izz miller frm forest on a free

Agree9 Disagree3

As I said at the beginning of the week Derby Blade Maguire to sign for wolves before the weekend, Harry has halted contract talks and wolves prepared to offer £1. 5 leading to £2 m

Agree1 Disagree3

Bet Harry stays till at least Xmas and see where we are in league, fair enough if he wants to play higher but think it will be with us in championship next season

Agree1 Disagree1

I bet Maguire isn't a Wolves fan by the weekend as we don't have to sell him for £2m!

Agree2 Disagree3

I don't think he's signing to become a fan mate, I think they actually want him to play!

Agree3 Disagree0

I told you Harry wouldn't be a wolves player by the weekend!

Nick Blackman back to Sheffield United.

Believable11 Unbelievable14

Sharp and brayford to sign when harry is sold

Agree3 Disagree9

Cloughs said we're not going for Sharp, looking at another 'big move striker' but obviously won't say who. Blackman could be that signing, think I read something somewhere about how we could get him cheap as Reading still haven't fully paid for him or something. Don't know if he'd want to drop back down though

Agree2 Disagree8

Billy sharp signs for Rotherham!

Agree0 Disagree5

Sorry, can't stop laughing. Billy Sharp signing for Rotherham? HA

Agree4 Disagree0

I'd sooner have Coady and Brayford than Sharp

Agree3 Disagree0

Great signings all moving us in the right direction however its still those elusive 20 goal striker's not 1 but 2 we need. only the 4 teams that went down scored less than us last season. And only the top 4 conceded less than us. So its obvious we need a promotion winning pair of strikers!

chris basham and andy butler both on free's both signed :)

Believable15 Unbelievable5

One more striker is what clough is after now. Harry will go - expect a big spend on one more player. It will be either coady or sharp. With stead and Paterson also lined up.

Agree4 Disagree5

Well if Stead or Paterson are the marquee signing we're doomed. Doomed I tell yer!

Basham having a medical today. Source:ssn.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Signed just now along with Andy Butler. Another possible probably next week. UTB

Agree4 Disagree3

He has just signed along with Andy Butler from Walsall. Ben Davies expected to follow in the coming days.

Agree4 Disagree3

Basham signed three year contract

Agree5 Disagree3

Says he can play midfield or defence! Anyone know where he played over 40 games for Blackpool last season?

Agree3 Disagree2

Blackpool had a shocker last season and with him at the heart of it. Though Wednesday were in for him!

Clough has given up on coady and mcginn he is now trying to sign chris basham from Blackpool

Believable5 Unbelievable7

Just where does it say we have given up on them? Please enlighten!

Agree5 Disagree3

Funny that. seen as on the OFFICIAL website it says we'll be approaching their parent clubs in the coming weeks.

Agree3 Disagree2

It doesn't! & we haven't, just someone stirings!

Agree2 Disagree2

Chris Basham and Andy Butler signings confirmed

Agree5 Disagree2

Haven't even approached Coady yet! Waiting a couple of weeks for Liverpool to finish their season and settle down after holidays and stuff. Going to approach in a couple of weeks and if the price is right he'll sign

Agree2 Disagree0

Clough himself has said McGinn not happening they want more than we are willing to pay
