CCM head coach Graham Arnold just turned down a deal from a "Prehistoric" SUFC source: tv. com

Believable24 Unbelievable2

I'm struggling to find where it says he was offered the job. Pretty sure he had talks, didn't like what he heard and that's that, big difference between that and turning the job down. And maybe the Sufc board didn't like what they heard either, but are acting with a bit of professionalism and not spouting off about it, after all he is employed by another club.

Agree4 Disagree15

Plus this from a man who has nick Montgomery in his side, I mean come on!

Agree7 Disagree6

Arnold supposedly told thr board he wanted to play a passing game but all the 'top brass' wanted to do was punt it long. He said the club has no direction or drive to get promoted. This was from an Australian newspaper I read this morning. Consider your source, he's going to talk like that in an Aussie spread simply as they're his employers.

Agree12 Disagree4

Let me put you all right Graham Arnold said that the club was stuck in the dark ages with no anbition on the team building side and that if he was to be asked to take the job on it would be like him taking 3 steps backwards so has no intrest in the job. Also on tv radio it said that Robert Page is the front runner with Wally Downs as his possible number 2.

Agree17 Disagree5

Ambition even, just thought I`d put you straight

Agree5 Disagree14

Why does everyone hate monty, all he ever did was give his all

Agree8 Disagree4

Arnolds coaches, now that is pre historic, Skegness oh the memories, rotsky

Agree8 Disagree0

Thanks to the chairman, and the board, we are know the laughing stock of the football league, if thing are so bad at the club, with no money available to spend, and no new money been made available, why as the club been not been put up for sale, and a new owner been found, with new drive and ambition, instead of this constant flow of excuses and finger pointing by the a board, and a second rate owner and chairman!

Agree22 Disagree1

Who is the manager for heavens sake.

Agree2 Disagree1

Such a bad club. Hoofing the ball up the pitch then hoping something comes of it? And that's what the board want? Sheffield united have had the tag of just being a lump it up field team for as long as I can remember now and I'm 44 years old. The club will never lose this image. Fans from other cities always remark that Wednesday are the footballing side and United just a rough house side. United have also always been looked upon as the poor relatives of the city and here's how you can stop all this. Stop employing kick and rush players, bring in a manager that's got technical know how, distance yourselves from the Bassetts, Morgans, Hodges, Gannons etc of this world and restructure yourself, possibly even rebrand yourself. If not, the problems that are now starting will only get worse.

Robson gone to aberdeen

Agree11 Disagree1

Have you actually seen Wendy play last two seasons hooooooooooooof smash.

Agree4 Disagree7

Love to here that our academy is prehistoric is that the same one that can boast two current England players as graduates and admirers and compliments from around the football world including might I add Dave Jones who recently complimented Shirecliffe obviously arnold talking out of his A**

Agree3 Disagree3

Yeah we produce good young players then sell em on the cheap and get has beens to make a team up, league 1 forever blade

Agree5 Disagree0

Personally I think he was just offended that we hadnt offered him the job and wanted to get the first dig in with the media to save face and keep his ego in tact

Agree1 Disagree0

Sounds like you have been watching Wednesday but with the likes of Antonio and jj who needs to hoof it they just run round defences

Agree1 Disagree0

Why people moaning about the academy when Jagielka, Walker, Naughton, Lowton and Kev Davies have all come from shirecliffe

Agree1 Disagree1

Clinging onto academy players who have left to become quality players while sufc struggle to find a manager is desperate!

Harry Maguire to Wednesday?! Don't see it me. Heard 800k has been turned down but a new offer of 900k is in. Throughs?!

Believable5 Unbelievable16

If they bid £800 grand I would snatch their hands off.

Agree4 Disagree8

Not going to Wednesday, further south.

Agree1 Disagree6

We've had bids of £2m and £3 reported in the past from the Prem. I'd expect someone to buy him just before the season starts for between £1m and £2m - either from a low Prem team or a Championship team hoping to get into the playoffs.

Why so late? - many teams have got new managers to bed in - and few teams want to pay wages over the summer.

Just hope we also get a sizeable add-on clause if he goes for anything less than that.

Load of twiddle

Agree5 Disagree0

I'm sorry, but SUFC have never been offered more than £1m for Harry Maguire. By any team.

Agree3 Disagree9

Well about 10 paper report say your wrong

Agree5 Disagree1

A £3. 5 Million bid for Harry Maguire by Newcastle United was rejected in January 2011.

Agree10 Disagree3

Why are Wendy fans shouting the odds on here

Agree6 Disagree3

Why didn't we take 3.5million from nufc, we won't get a million now, teams know we've got no money so they will get him very cheap! He's rubbish anyway, too slow & fat

Agree6 Disagree4

I don't know but spend more time on this page then Wendy page so guess he's a blades fan!

Agree3 Disagree1

Dont believe everything you read in the papers, Stories are written to sell newspapers sometimes with a hint of truth and sometimes to get a response from people they write about there are lots and lots of examples its called sensationalising and it works to sell.

Agree5 Disagree0

One million? He's not worth 1p players like Maguire are why the blades are in such a terrible position
