After missing out on a striker target we're probably sticking with what we have until Summer. No ins/outs now for the rest of the season, Nigel is simply targeting a top half finish, Board happy with that, and the restructuring exercise for next season's promotion push starts now. Looks like Harris will be offered a longer contract, Brayford IS a strong possibility for a permanent deal, Maguire currently more likely to stay than go although many clubs want him, but Coady likely to go back to Liverpool or to a top half Championship side next season unless the current situation changes. We want him permanently, but the better he plays the more Rodgers is liking what he sees. Coady does love it at BDTBL though and if we can genuinely show him that we are on an upswing and he is a key part of that, coupled with Liverpool admitting he might not get too many first team starts there, NC hasn't given up on a permanent deal just yet. From the Horse's/Owner's mouth after a chat over non-football-related business on Thursday.

You only need to score once when you have a tight defence. Nigel is trying to get a striker. He's got one hasn't he. Who's this striker we're going to get?

It has never happened. United and Wendy do not do transfer business with one another. There has never been a transfer or a loan between the two. The only time it happens is free transfers, when a player is a free agent and out of contract therefore no money is exchanged between the two clubs.

I know everyone like to have a go at IJA but we never ever done a transfer from Wendy. They have been free's when the players have been out of contract

Leigh Bromby was transferred to Utd from the unclean on a free transfer but he WASN'T a free agent. He was still under contract at S6, they just allowed him to go without a fee.

Alan Quinn moved to Sheffield United from the other side on a free transfer. That is NOT the same as him signing as a free i. e. out of contract player. Come on lads, check your Blades history.

Leigh Bromby and Alan Quinn were both released by Wendy therefore they became free agents.
