Been told that the Conor Coady deal is a done deal, just waiting for the paperwork to be completed. SOURCE: A lad who I know plays for the academy and he was at a tournament at Liverpool on Saturday and there was talk from Both Liverpool and Sheffield United academy representatives over Conor Coady
What? Seriously? How can you be pessimistic at this stage of the season?! We have a great new, young, ambitious manager, we're unbeaten in preseason, we've made some great signings and things are looking better than they have in the past few years. How can anyone possibly say that we're destined to spend another season in league 1 at this stage in the season and with things looking this good?
Shows the knowledge of the commentor above, Conor Coady is class player with a lot of potential, bet you'd never heard of him until rumours started circulating and just presume because he is from a reserve squad isn't any good, how many young players can say they've been compared to Gerrard? he is one to look out for in the future
Went to the game which Conor coady played he is a very good player also lyle Taylor looks like a man who can get goals and jasper johns he's so fast
Let's be realistic and let's be honest with ourselves. If any of our recent signings were anything more than average would they seriously be joining us and playing in what is division 3? Even the championship is miles ahead of our league and clubs from that league obviously didn't approach any of these players with regards to signing them so let's not get too carried away and expect too much this season.
Alright calm down, god have you ever got something good to say, you've always got something bad to say don't you {Ed001's Note - Coady has the potential to be top class, he captained England U17s to win their first Euros. He captains his age group now. The problem is that he had an average season, mostly due to growth issues (so I am reliably informed), but last season he regained form and was really starting to look more like the player they were saying was just like Stevie G. He does move a lot like him, has the same powerful bursts in his game, but he was often getting used as a centre back, which doesn't suit him. In central midfield, if you get him playing to his best, he will tear League One apart.}
Febian Brandy I can see him with a lot of assists and porter looked like he wanted some goals for a change he will have a good season and lyle Taylor looks good I think we will finish top 2 easy now UTB!
