Sheffield United have made a bid to sign Livingston midfielder Stefan Scougall which could rise to £400,000.

This lad looks a decent footballer. The video clips I've seen show him to very quick and skillful. Defo worth a punt.

Agree13 Disagree3

^^^ Agreed, he is very quick and direct. Look more promising than Lyle Taylor.

Agree13 Disagree1

Why we just going for Scottish league players? Lyle taylor obviously didn't work out and Jamie Murphy took ages to find a bit of form. We need players who have proven themselves in the league!

Agree13 Disagree8

Looks good but not what we need.

Agree7 Disagree13

Lyle Taylor didn't really get a chance to prove himself. He scored two excellent goals against Coventry away and has started just 5 first team games since then.
He is young and clearly needs time to establish himself in the English league. Unfortunately perhaps because of the pressure to move out of the drop zone hasn't had that opportunity.
People forget that it took Ched two full seasons before he started to show his potential - 4 goals in 33 games in his first season and he was not new to the English game.

Agree12 Disagree2

Scougall looks like a great player. Pacey, great dribbling skills, goes forward instead of always passing it sideways and has a fair bit of style and flair. Get him in.

Agree10 Disagree0

Looks just what we need but where to fit him in. If we were we would have to play a proper defensive midfielder who won't push forward too much

Agree6 Disagree4

Youtube video clips made murphy look like the scottish messi so I wouldn't take to much from the clips.

Agree7 Disagree7

Well said, Taylor was showing real signs of improvement. Shame he hasn't been given a run in the side like Porter has.

Agree7 Disagree2

Going to peterbrough

Agree2 Disagree11

He won't go to peterborough they have said that they are not going to pay more than £400,000 for him, which we have said we are willing to pay for him.

I don't know why we don't take a look at Martyn Waghorn at Leicester. They only want 450 K for him. A steal I think. He will score goals at League One Level.

Agree7 Disagree1

Waghorn wants to stay in the champ

Well it's getting late!

Anyone seen them tonight in the Copthorne wearing their blades shirts?

Agree1 Disagree4

Get ready for the broken fax machine or lost cheque book excuses, only team in history to get taken over by a billionaire, get worse and don't spend any money, all blades arn't we.
This could only happen to us!

Agree6 Disagree7

Financial Fair Play stops is from using the majority of the Prince's money unfortunately. Only when we're in the championship do we get to utilise it.

Agree6 Disagree0

FFP is about salaries. Three first team squad members and some development players have gone out on loan so why have none come in apart from Paynter?

There's always a way around FFP - ask Brentford! If the Prince sponsors a stand for £5m then the FFP percentage can be applied to that sum in addition to regular turnover, and we can then buy players. Don't fall for club BS.

The reality is everyone's afraid of relegation. Once that is removed, and once the 8 players who are out of contract in summer have gone, the "project" can start in earnest.

Agree4 Disagree0

Yes this is what i'm hoping. Boring as it may be this season is only about avoiding relegation. In the summer we can havw a big clear out and start again with a new squad

Agree1 Disagree0

Wrong. He can't just sponsor a ground for £5million. The clubs INCOME has to be £5million per annum in order for us to raise the wage bill. A one of sponsorship by our owner doesn't count.

Agree2 Disagree1

I wish people would actually read the FFP rules instead of spitting nonsense about sponsoring stands and stuff. The INCOME is what counts. That's what the club EARNS not what is given to us. The further down the leagues you go the structure the rules are, which is why if we were in the championship right now we could splash out a few million on one player but in this league a can't because we don't earn enough to. In league one it doesn't matter if your owner is worth a billion or a million except from you might be able to get a player for 500,000 instead of 400,000 say. Only in the championship and the premiership can we use the Prince's money to it's potential

Apparently the blades have enquired about Ishmael Miller from Notts Forrest as his loan contract at Yeovil has ran out

Believable14 Unbelievable6

I wish he did come.

Agree5 Disagree2

I laughed at a lad at work this morning when he said this. now someone else is saying it! I hope it's not just a rumour.

Agree4 Disagree5

That's the kind of ambition we need to show. Unfortunately I think Clough's more interested in signing a load of his mates from Derby, rather than getting us promoted
