I've been told by Trevor Burch we have major investment coming into the club that is why we are holding a press conference tomorrow

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Yeah and i've been told by postman pat that messi will sign on a four year contract

Agree6 Disagree3

Yes Iv heard the same! Some Chinese billionaire! Watch out Wednesday!

Agree2 Disagree6

Wow you must be really important to be told this before the official announcement. Are you Danny Wilson?

Agree5 Disagree0

Birch no longer works at united...

Agree4 Disagree2

Yeah, course some Chinese billionaire is going to invest in a 3rd division club in a run down part of town and with a very dated ground. Get real.

Agree5 Disagree2

Birch is busy messing up Portsmouth's finances these days. Why would he have inside knowledge on an investment for Sheffield United?

Agree5 Disagree0

This had me in stitches !

Agree3 Disagree0

Complete rubbish, why would potential investors watch us sell lowton without putting up much of a fight i.e holding out for more £££?

Agree3 Disagree0

Not that I agree a Chinese billionaire is interested but why would he be is obvious the same reason Mandy was interested in wednesday; because with what wouldnt be a material expenditure to him he could potentially have a club with the capabilities of fighting for a place in te prem. depending on the Chinese tax laws the loss he would make getting to that point would be written off against his personal income

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt a billionaire would be interested, they would make more money staying out of it. Milan is a Millionaire, meaning he was able to get more profit in consideration than a billionaire, by making a division 3 club successful, if a billionaire came in profits to them would be minimum. -From a Sensible Owl

Agree1 Disagree0

After searching through many sources, its not a singular Chinese billionaire it is a Chinese company looking to invest into Chengdu Blades. Source is Chengdu Sports University's news paper which has links with Chengdu Blades. -From a Sensible Owl

Agree0 Disagree0

For what it is worth billionaires don't seem to be bothered about profit, it's more of a toy/way to a higher profile. Your not telling me abramovich and the sheik are in it to make money?

Agree1 Disagree0

Of course they are, if you look at Chelsea as you mentioned Abramovich. Their Profits have doubled over since he took over, I admit there was a down turn in the middle, but after buying it now makes double what it did previously. And you're saying Billionaires are buying things to waste money? By that case they should all do what Bill Gates does if money is burning a hole in their pockets and give it to the downtrodden. If that is what's happening we have a massive problem with football and the footballing culture surrounding everything. Football should be a way to live. And not a "Play" Thing for the rich and famous. -From a Sensible Owl (Rant over.... I think...)

Agree0 Disagree1

Chelsea's profits have definately not doubled since he took over. Revenue may have doubled put profit no, I thought you were sensible!

Utd are supposedly interested in Francois Zoko as hes a free agent after turning down a contract at Carisle. John Cofie will be announced as our first summer signing this morning on a season long loan. Utd are more likely to agree a new contract with McDonald rather than Williamson but they've said obviously anything can happen. Although there after these 2 strikers there still monitoring Jeffrey Schlupp. Also interested in Preston's young transfer listed Right-back Conor Mclaughlin. The left-back/centre back that failed his medical will be reviewed and watched and maybe signed after his surgery if it is successful
