Rumours on social media that Harry Maguire has told the club he won't be signing a new deal.
Could be a huge blow to the start of our season, but in NC we trust.
1.) This wouldn't be anywhere near as big a blow as last season, losing our creative midfielder, for the first time in a number of years we have back-up at centre half and experience in Butler should he leave. I hope for Harry's sake that his agent isn't ruining his career as Jordan Slew's did insisting on forcing through a transfer!
Ched was 'supposed to be coming to us on day release to sign a 18k per week contract' but our now co chairman Jim Phipps rubbished them rumours when they circulated in the papers. Saying that the source of that story was in no shape or form connected to Sheffield United.
Apparently it was sourced by somebody close to Ched, clearly trying to get clubs interested in his services once he's released.
He definitely won't be the same player straight away, training in prison is nowhere near a good enough standard to come into professional football. Especially under Clough's strict training regimes.
£5-6million, for a league 1 centre back? Go home derby blade, you're drunk.

Rumours a while ago of it being revealed on the 12th July- not sure if that's still true.
Also a post on here somewhere when a close source to sponsorship (correctly predicted it was a company located by meadowhall) said it was a green away kit- similar to that of old Germany away shirts.
I love how many people must read this page and not actual news sites. such as our own official club website. How can you disagree with this?
Next people will be saying we don't have adidas!
It'll only be a matter of time until he goes. NC said in the club interview it was Maguire who has stopped the contract talks, not us. If that's case and we stand firm saying he's not for sale, he'll only leave next season on a free. Cash in on him and get the bearded one back! UTB
