I thought that Prince Abdulraham Bin Abdullah would bank roll the Blades during the summer to ensure promotion. I am aware of League one spend restrictions but having had such a good cup run last term and the sale of HM surely we could have bid for Coady and the beard.

Sick of all the negative united fans blaming the prince! We can't go and spend millions on players because of financial fair play! And as soon as we lose one game it's the bored fault! Jim Phipps has said it's clough who decides how the money is spent! And the match on Saturday we weren't great and we where unlcuky there is still 45 games left stay possative UTB

Well said Chicken Flipper. When will people learn, WE CANNOT SPEND MILLIONS AND MILLIONS. Do we want to end up in huge financial trouble like other clubs, Portsmouth, Leeds and Wednesday just to name a few????

Clough is the one who decides who we bring in and I can tell you now that without the Princes money we wouldn't have been able to sign 10 players this window. We have bid for Brayford but if Cardiff don't want to sell there's nothing we can do about it and the rules in league one mean that we can't spend ridiculous amount of money anyway. Clough and the board know what they're doing; they're buying the players they want without spending too much too fast and putting the club in danger of doing a Leeds. When we get into the championship the rules are less strict so we will have more room to manoeuvre in terms of spending.

Chill. Despite the first match, we've got a good squad and still got the manager who led us on our end of season run. Promotion still in sight. COYRAWW!

In all fairness, Nigel Clough has said that he doesn't want to spend big on transfers and wants to give the youngsters in our sqaud a chance to prove themselves, he still wants to bring in 2 or 3 players with the cash that we made from Harry Maguire

Same old claim of previous managers - promises of giving our youngsters a chance in the squad - then sending them all out on loan, but they never make it back. Whitehouse, Ironside and Long are only the latest. How many of the squad came through our ranks? I'm not sure that we give our own youngsters a fair chance - it's far easier to bring someone new in.
