spoke to chris o'grady a few times ( I used to share a room when we was in digs together at leicester city in 2002 ) united have made an approach and have spoken to barnsley regarding him but he doesn't want to leave as he is there number 9 so to speak, plays week in week out and he doesn't want to sit on the bench anywhere.

Ogrady would be uniteds number 9 if he came here. And on another point united should be up there next season but are we favourites with the new players bristol city have signed there end to the season was as good as ours! And they have 2 proven strikers (baldock and and JET) we have porter (I do like porter btw) I am worried about expectation and the pressure it brings

COG wants an indication that he will play games, he is concerned that he would not be our main striker when ched returns.
Money is not his prime motivation as he has amassed a decent amount with signing on fees, property etc.
he just wants to feel valued and be assured of a major part to play at sufc

I'm not saying that O'grady will sign but after Charlton Athletic enquired about him, he said he was flattered by the interest but he wasn't interested as his three kids are settled at School in Sheffield and he has no intention of leaving the area. If he came to United, it wouldn't affect his family life.

Yes Bristol City will be up there next season but I remember us smashing them 3-0 at the lane last season. I honestly believe we have no one to fear and the players have the same mentality. I want to see us be more ruthless and absolutly kill teams. UTB honestly can't wait.
