The board have short-listed 7 potential candidates for the vacant manager position, however they're being boring as they'll only confirm Chris Morgan as one of the seven candidates and they refuse to name the other six.

Also Julian Winter is back.

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Yes and the first thing he was told to tell us by McCabe, Wait for it was to sell al the good young players because of the same crap we all expected no money large wage bill cut our cloth for this division. Why not be positive and get rid of the dead wood Porter, Kitson etc first and start to build a team around some of the young players but no let's have a fire sale and sell sell sell and give the new manager nothing to work with again.

Agree27 Disagree2

Yes it's true I have just read it on the back of the Sheffield Star paper he also says that the new manager will have to bring on the youngsters more in other words no money to spend also at the same time he must cut the wage bill. United going up this time will just be a dream when will this chairman learn.

Agree22 Disagree1

Apparently we've received 20 applications for the vacant position.

Agree4 Disagree0

Wow and anyone who is given the job wil have to do it with on money, and if we get some young lad who shows promise the manager will be made to sell him again. So division 2 here we come.

Agree18 Disagree2

Dont be daft, most league one teams don't have any budget, we will still a budget.

Agree1 Disagree10

Michael Appleton will get it and Morgan assistant with unseorth looking after the kids

Richard Cresswell's contract will not be renewed. He will sign a one year deal in a player-coaching role at York City where he lives.

Marlon pack is been spotted at the lane

Believable10 Unbelievable4

And what a great scoring record, not

Agree1 Disagree2

First off he is a centre (defensive) midfielder therefore he isn't going to score loads of goals. Secondly his goal socring record is far better than McDoanld and Doyle combined who are goal shy. He has scored seven goals in two consecuitve seasons. Doyle and McDonald will get between 1-3 at the most each per season.

Agree5 Disagree1

He is awesome at freekicks and can hit a 50, 60 yard pass like gerrard. and tbh having a anchorman would help the team. we might play something different from 4-4-2 for once!

Agree5 Disagree1

Marlon Pack is signing for derby this summer

Probably a load of tosh! But I recently got chatting to a local wealthy (ish) business man who promotes boxing ;-). He says a McCabe has been speaking to a Nassef Sawiris, Egyption construction billionaire about a possible buyout at BDTBL. who knows? I would believe owt these days? Maybe Fergy in as manager as well?

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Thought long and hard about it, but decided not to buy a sesson ticket for me and my son for next year; it is not that we did not get promoted but the football has been realy poor for a while now and I no longer look forward to saturday afternoons any more

Agree7 Disagree1

The egyptian story has some elemant of truth, but I heard it was a private talk Mcabe has had enough, ungrateful fans etc.

Agree4 Disagree0

What could we be grateful about?

Agree4 Disagree1

I'm sorry, but if you don't buy a ticket, how do you expect them to up the calibre? If you don't put money in then the club can't grow.

Plus Nassef Sawiris' company has to pay the Egyptian gov't over 7. 1 billion EGP over the next 4 years thanks to not paying their taxes. I'm sure no-one would want a man like that to run their club.

Agree4 Disagree1

No billionaire going to buy Sheff u with 15k going to play off games big clubs sell out in the big games not half full them. up the Toffees

Sheffield United are one of a number of clubs (including MK Dons, Coventry City and Dony Rovers) interested in soon to be free agent Marlon Pack after he rejected a new contract with Cheltenham Town.

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Surely we will wait until we appoint a new manager before buying and selling players

Agree9 Disagree0

He is a free agent, we won't be buying him. He will be a freebie. Our scouts have been monitoring him and he is an amazing league two player. Any league one club would be happy to sign him on a freebie.

Agree4 Disagree0

Presumably he wants paying though? In which case any new manager isn't going to be happy about his budget being tied up in signings he didn't sanction. Please get a grip. btw Cresswell's contract has already been renegotiated and he has an extended deal as player coach at Bramall Lane with 2 further seasons left to run. Do keep up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Dony rovers will sign him high level of football
