Just when it's been made quite clear that we need to move forward by getting rid of the typical Sheffield Utd tag i. e not being a hoofing it side and not being so Prehistoric we make moves for Curle and Warnock. Laughable.

At least he has some managerial experience at that level, unlike the majority of the other remaining candidates. Track record quite good, just wonder about the circumstances of his departures from previous positions
I hope he doesn't get it though. personally I want to see southgate take over the reigns, I know he isn't exactly proven but he dd take boro to 4th in the championship before getting the sack and he is very good with youngsters as proven at middlesbrough. its all ifs and buts but EVERYONE has got to realise we are a club with a lot of debt thus meaning no one wants to touch us. macall won't touch us, morgan won't touch us, warnock won't touch us. there is nothing else to say on the matter we can't afford anyone with a proven record so its got to be gareth southgate or roy keane surely?

Just read in the Times that Mike Newell is to be appointed Sheffield United manager after first choice John Pemberton declined the position because of financial restraints.
Mike Newell is going to get the job with Chris Morgan as his number 2. I like the idea of Mike Newell but by keeping Morgan we're never going to get rid of the rough house and hoofing it tag. Hopefully Newell will turn us in to a footballing side and not a "prehistoric" one.
But we wasnt in this massive debt situation until McCabe starting buying all these foreign football clubs, then lumping them on us when they make loses. What was suposidly the idea behind buying all these teams, we've never seen any players from them, besides 20 minutes of some 37 year old chinese bloke. McCabe got us into this mess financially he should get us out, then sell to someone prepared to invest.
Said that I saw Curle at bl the other day no one believed me. big smile on his face at the time. now favourite to get job.
