Been told by a friend who works at shirecliffe that Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is training with us Weir wants to have a look before deciding whether to offer a contract

If true then this would be decent for League 1. Strong as an Ox and can score. Also heard Marlon King is training, is this true?

Spoke to my friend he said not seen him but there's a rumour that 2 or 3 more are training tomorrow not with the first team because they doing a light session

My friend just text the third player on trail is Jay Boothroyd if I get anymore info I will pass it on
Agree1

Jay Boothroyd is on too high a wage for United to pay with the new rules in place. x x

The same Ebanks Blake that refused a contracvt at wolves because he doesn't want to play in league one?

Wait. NO BLADES? Are you sure? I think you should revise that statement, otherwise your statement is quite hilarious. And a complete understatement. x x

McCabe has sold 50% of club to member of Saudi royal family who is apparently worth between £18-21 billion.

18-21billion pounds or dollars?

He bought 50%which worked out at £1
Sounds about right

The £1 is of no indication as to the value. Legally some money has to change hands and a £1 is the minimum. In order to get the deal done ASAP McCabe took the £1 for his investment.
Sheffield United are on the up, we need to take this one step at a time and not expect multi-millions all at once.

Can't wait for FIFA 14! Can play as my beloved Blades but have Man City's bazillion £££ to spend! UTB!

He's paid £45 mill in debts

With Fair-play rules it will be difficult for United to "Spend big" in league 1. x x
Agree1
Disagree4
The agreement is that he buys a 50% stake in the club for £1 but must provide funds when needed. It's actually in the contract that we get to the premier league "as soon as practicable" so we can expect good quality signings and many improvements bankrolled by the prince.
Agree3
Disagree0
The majority of the benefits of the prince coming in probably won't be seen until we get to the championship. League One is very different to the upper two leagues and has different rules that we must stick to but once we get to the championship that's when we can really start spending some good money on great players.
Agree1

There are ways round the fair play rule! how do others do it? 1 way is his company could sponsor united for 10 million say. that then is 10 million cumin into the club which we can spend 65 percent of! sorted
Agree1
Disagree0
The rule is you can only spend 60% of your clubs revenue on wages. but if the Prince were to sponsor us for say, £10,000,000 then we could spend £6,000,000 on wages! BOOM! Unlikely, but it'd be within the rules!
Agree0

*Cough* *Cough* You do realize you can only be sponsored so much before it doesn't qualify right? Oh, wait you didn't know that? Try reading the fair play rules, it's quite a large booklet. x x

If you've read the booklet why not share with us all the amount oh sensible one?
