James Mzamo Musa 21 yo New Zealand left back released by Fulham starts training tomorrow very promising full back

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Only the 6 th left back

Agree10 Disagree5

I thought the squad was complete. However, I still think the left back spot is a weakness, despite the large number of players we have who have played there. Even ignoring the youngsters in the squad, we have experienced left backs in Hill, Williams and Higginbotham. IF we decide to bring this kid in, we should surely be looking to offload a couple of these.

Agree5 Disagree0

We should probably offload Hill and Williams if we do decide to bring this guy in. We could really do with reducing the amount of LBs we have so it could be a good opportunity to do that and still have some good players in that position.

Agree6 Disagree0

Jasper Johns is also a left back, Sean McGinty is centre/ left back. Where is Aaron Barry's preferred position in defence? I say get rid of Hill and Williams and let Higginbotham fight it out with the young lads for that left back spot.

Agree6 Disagree2

I thought Tel Kennedy was expected to make the breakthrough into the first team this year, after his injury problems. He grew up playing alongside Maguire in the youth set-up, and can also play left back apparently.

Agree2 Disagree0

It has always felt apart from Jordan and Taylor that we through someone in to LB position what I think was one of the problem with our width as we always attacked down the right

Agree2 Disagree0

Ija are you mad? Did you watch united last season?
Hill was our best defender last season.

J j mullins

Agree6 Disagree4

Mate McMahon clearly was.

Agree3 Disagree3

I'd have said Long

Agree2 Disagree5

I said best defender I'm sure long is a keeper

Agree6 Disagree2

Keepers defend the goal. That's wot we do! We defend against those nasty players who want to put the ball in our nets! Keepers are defenders. Get used to it!

Agree3 Disagree3

OK. Keepers are ultimately there to defend the goal but no way are they generally thought of as being defenders, stop being so pedantic my friend.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ok so here goes: goalkeepers are considered part of the defence and technically they're defenders. However they're not usually referred to as defenders.

Agree0 Disagree1

Who said Jasper Johns is a left back? he is a striker!

Agree1 Disagree3

Says on Everton website he is LB or Centre Mid-field

Weir wants to bring in one more face before Friday. Possibly a forward. He wants to try and get a loan deal for billy sharp who is interested in coming back to the blades.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Weir wants to bring a new player in before Friday and it looks like billy sharp

Agree2 Disagree8

Billy Sharp is far to good for us some of our fans are deluded! how we paying his wages?

Agree9 Disagree3

On loan

Agree5 Disagree6

Not a chance. no one else will join now we need to get rid of some player's first

Agree5 Disagree1

Billy wasn't given much of a chance when he came through as a kid, so we got rid then we paid good money and bought him back as a developed goalscoring striker and played him on the wing and complained he wasn't scoring (!), then he went away again and got back to scoring again for other teams. Why on earth would he want to come back again? Fed up of scoring? Deep desire to play winger, midfield or full-back?

Even if he did want to come back to D1 again, where's the money coming from for his wages?

Next rumour please!

Agree6 Disagree7

I seriously don't see Sharp coming back. We might be the club he finishes his career with but until we're an established championship club again there would be no point, from his point of view, in him coming back to us.

Agree3 Disagree1

Really? haha this is just another silly rumour

Agree3 Disagree6

. well it is a rumour site.
