SUFC to sign Kieron Freeman by the 15th of July, also Harry Maguire will agree personal terms with Wolverhampton on the same week. Billy Sharp is no longer an interest of Nigel Clough, along with Chris O'grady as Barnsley say we cannot afford his wages. The club home and away kit to be revealed throughout the week commencing. Very exciting times for the blades. Onwards and upwards, In Clough I trust.

Believable2 Unbelievable15

Why by the 15th July? Clough will want it sorted in time for pre season

As for Harry, well it seems pretty obvious he's on his bike. Whether it be to Wolves though not sure

Agree9 Disagree4

Think it's pretty obvious he's not going to Wolves since they signed Stearman and haven't met our valuation!

Agree9 Disagree1

If Clough leaves Freeman that long i'd be gobsmacked. And surely talks are at a more advanced stage, what is their to do that will take over 2 weeks

Agree4 Disagree1

To the poster a couple above. Stearman hasn't signed because he's their player he has been since 2008 with only a loan spell at Ipswich Town last season so he'll have no effect weather they sign Maguire or not

Agree1 Disagree6

Our position is clear:if you don't match out valuation you're not getting Harry. Simple. So unless they cough up the money, which they aren't willing to do, he's not going to Wolves

Agree5 Disagree2

He was out of contract and was looking like he may leave wolves. A lot if people thought that they wanted Harry as his replacement. So now he has signed a new contract they probably won't want to throw a lot of their budget at Harry.

So of course it effects their interest in him.

Agree7 Disagree0

Stearman didn't want to play in League 1 and was unhappy at Wolves, seems like they are all happy again, I think this is what the poster meant?

Agree2 Disagree3

Stearman was out of contract at the end of the season and seemed like he was waiting to see if Wolves were going to sign Maguire before deciding. Doubt he would have signed unless the Maguire rumour was dead and buried and he knew he had a starting lineup place.

Agree3 Disagree2

Stearman as already stated after he signed that he would welcome competition. so looks like Wolves will still be looking at Maguire for the right price. around 1. 75 is all we will get and the sooner the better so we can use the money before the window shuts

Agree4 Disagree4

To the post above. ha!

Agree3 Disagree3

To the above post above. let's wait and see then

Just read that Craig Davis could be on his way to Chesterfield on a permanent basis. He would be a good signing for us

all these rumours who have we brought in and how much have we spent for a club that wants to go up nothing that's what get real blades fans were being taken for a ride again just to get season ticket sales up what's the prince spent nothing were just mugs once again

Agree9 Disagree19

What a load of nonsense! The club is stable at last and bringing in good players to get us out of this league. I am really excited by the future.

Agree17 Disagree8

A few comments regarding the above post. Do we have to spend millions to go up? No. Big money signings doesn't mean we go up does it? The squad if MUCH better than it was last season already. Who have we brought in you ask - Davies, basham, butler, mcnulty, Wallace. We have proved already that we don't have to sell anyone clogg doesn't want to sell. Hull have said they won't increase their bid for Maguire and so he's not going to hull on the cheap. The only mugs are those people that expect us to spend 3 million on players in league 1. As many people have already said previously, the money for players isn't going to be spent in one big spending spree, that would be foolish and irresponsible. The Prince will dip in when the time is right, not just throw money at reckless buying.
In Clough we trust and that is already been seen in the 10,000 season ticket sold up to now!
Quit the moaning and get behind the team otherwise go to the comedy club in S6!

Sermon over

Agree22 Disagree5

What a load of rubbish. At last our club is being properly run and I am really excited about the future. The Prince is making a very big difference and so is our new Chief Executive. UTB

Agree18 Disagree5

I'm a 'real' blades fan and I couldn't disagree with the above comment more and I'm pretty sure the above poster would be in a minority and possibly could be a secret piggy. The Prince has stabilised the club and helped wipe our debt. We have brought in some great players on frees. These players have turned down offers of contract from their clubs and other clubs so this is still good business, also they will be on some decent wages, is this not investment in the club and showing ambition.

The transfer window isn't even open yet and we have brought in 7 players but people are already moaning because we haven't signed a 'big name', it's embarrassing. We have to look at players who will do a job at this level, players that are good at Championship level will play in the Championship that's just how it is.

Trust in Clough and the team he is putting together, if you think the rumours are to just boost season tickets and they aren't investing in the club then don't renew your ticket but I for one am happy to!

Agree16 Disagree4

A few things for you to reflect on:-
SCMP
wages/signing on fees to attract folk (irrespective of any 'fee')
resisting selling HM (& others)
fees paid:- Scougall; McNulty; Wallace &?
loans for Brayford & Coady last season (?)

Agree7 Disagree0

On a different note I've seen two different journos report we are in talks with Brayford. don't know how true but I've seen it on twitter. Agent Jim and Dave King they are called. UTB

Big money singings doesn't not mean promotion! It just shows we have money. The money is not going to spent in this Division because we don't need to spend 2/3 million this summer. We just need a squad that can get us up and that is what Nigel is doing the players that he has brought all know how to get out of divisions and how the league works. The money will spent on trying to get us to the premiership and moving on from the championship because the aim is the premiership in the long run not to become a mid table championship. Spending the money wisely over the next seasons and then making the big push for the prem with 3/4 big signings! Stay patient

Agree7 Disagree1

Nigel Clough will not spend silly money, he will only bring in players that will improve the squad and make no mistake he will succeed

Agree9 Disagree1

What do people not get? We can't spend that amount of money in League One even if we wanted to. Anyway, Clough is bringing in players he know will do well for the club and he's doing great business. Getting the calibre of players we've acquired so far for such little money is brilliant business. Clough knows what he's doing and so does the Prince.

Agree9 Disagree1

Calm down negative blades fans, things looking good now for the first time in years. The prince has spent nothing? 60m debt been wrote off that will do for me and clough will only sign players who want to play for the club not just to pick up a wage, the future is red n white

Agree11 Disagree0

I seem to recall we spent millions under Robson and look what that got us! It's quality over quantity! Stop being so pessimistic and back the lads! Onward and upward! UTB!

Agree8 Disagree1

EXACTLY! The decisions we made under Robbo are the reasons why we find ourselves in the position we are in (league one). Yes we have signed free agents but these free agents had plenty of offers else where and could have stayed at their old clubs. Cloughies not going to let anyone slack no matter what price is over their head. These players will be on decent wages aswel. Its about time us as fans make ourselves a major signing. The atmosphere at the lane isn't what it was so us as fan let's bringet back!

Also freeman a deal is set to be a season long loan witch could mean we have a permanent RB coming in

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Or waiting to sign Brayford when we're in the championship? Or is that too hopeful!
