We will not be going into administration , McCabe is stripping the assets out of the club before he sells what's left, he will recoup as much money as he can including the sale of any player that can fetch a price. Who will bye what's left he doesn't care it wil just add something to the pot and stop the losses he's currently bank rolling."BE SCARED ... BE VERY SCARED"..............

Well to start with who is going to buy the club off him while we are in this situation(what players we have left)
Agree9
Disagree2
Cannot believe the scare mongering on here Kevin McCabe will not strip SUFC cos if he did that no-one would want to buy it and besides that if he failed to sell club then all he has is a club that would ultimately cost him more to run due to loss of revenue, Thats basic business he is just trying to balance the books and in view of recent high profile bankruptcies isnt that what we all want . A club that isnt teetering on the edge??
Agree6
Disagree4
Bear in mind the club accounts value the ground at almost exactly the amount he claims to have tied up in the club, and now a letter's gone out stating the real estate is being transferred to the PLC, so in essence he can sell the club for peanuts and still walk away unscathed with £46m of property in the bag. It's this figure which he's reached with investment and which he refuses to exceed, because he knows his cash is safe in the long run up to this point.
Agree5
Disagree4
Why dont you numtys all stop guessing what the clubs finances are like and go on line to companys house and buy a copy of the last company filed accounts, then you might have an idear? and as far as the last few years have been according to club statements, they havnt made any money,so no tax will be liable, only big refunds against any further profits in the comonig years.

Well said that man!... Took the words out of my mouth and to add just a little; reading the notes and being able to interpret them year upon year would give a better understanding ; )

^ shows what a loyal fan you are, not being funny or owt mate but no matter what should support your club through thick and thin. ive been a season ticket holder for 23 years now ive seen some excellent times and some devastating times but no matter what ive stuck by the club and continued my support. KEEP THE FAITH !

Good that's one less negative person at the ground . See you again in a few years when we are on the up .

On a "football" note. Anyone keep looking at the united website like myself? Seeing that we have signed no one and played our kids and 3rd fringe players against Ilkeston alongside what's lefts of the first teamers? Love the blades but it is NOT looking promising for next season. Expect mid table at best with this threadbare squad. Feel sorry for Danny Wilson tbh.

What makes it all worse is that the massive owls did this to us by getting 2nd place!

Never heard so much garbage! Westlake rated as one of best young prospects outside top 2 divisions sounds like a good signing to me. And why would we pay a young lad a grand a week from Kidderminster? Do you know anything abou football
Agree1

Difficult times ahead........ Let's be honest the side that we will put out in our 1st game will not be a shadow of the team we started last season with.quality as dropped, moral will be as low as it as ever been ,attendances as low as 13/14 thousand, and where is the light at the end of the tunnel . Iam SCARED .. VERY SCARED !!

Chill out guys , we have to be the biggest bunch of whining fans in the football league it's embarrassing . Despite the ultimate promotion failure last season I enjoyed the football for once and am excited for the new season . Cheer the lads on song get mardys on and stay at home because that's when we really will be in financial trouble . Utb

What ! When the club are having to let go of staff cos are skint acc to the star ?? Are you mad ! It will be a case of get on with what's left of a squad and then use loans ! Awful seaso ahead. Coventry and mk dons already look safe for automatics... LOng hard slog season ahead unless a miracle happens.
Agree8
Disagree1
So you'll be having a bet on MKD and Coventry then? So far since the end of last season we've got rid of a lot of dead wood and ONE genuine first-team player and brought in ONE Man Utd loanee. Not quite time to leap off tall buildings just yet
Agree7
Disagree4
One first team player?
How does: Simonsen, Lowton, McDonald, Williamson & Evans sound?
Agree3
Disagree2
Evans - what could the club do? Nothing. Simmonsen - I dare say you were one of the ones slating him last year and suggested we get rid. We do, and you use it to bash the club.
McDonald and Williamson are in training with us, neither have left for anyone else have they? Still time...
So yeah, Just Lowton...
Agree6

Yep my money is on mk dons and coventry. They are looking strong... Just check out their additions, squads and in mk dons case play and form from last season. They have kept their best and added. We are in dire straits ! Reality check !

I think zoko deal is dead in the water..... But beavon is still 50/50 just with all problems with their club

Sheff star front page. We are in deep trouble but it will sort itself out blades, keep the faith UTB

Nothing to worry about. In current economy no jobs are safe in every work place why should a football club be different?
Agree3
Disagree2
The truth is finally out. It's been smoke and mirrors all summer. The club can't afford to bring both Williamson and Mcdonald back, it will be one or the other plus another loan signing. Can't even afford the 75k for the lad at Walsall.
Agree5

We made lots of ppl redundant! Also we now rent our ground of M
Agree3

If people do lose there jobs then it is a bad day for them I feel really gutted about it but if it keeps the club from going into worse debt and keeps the possibility of administration or anything along those lines then needs must I'm sorry to say

More players definitely to be sold then ! Here's hoping not on the cheap !

I'd rathe have Ken Bates as owner. McCabe Out!

Wages contracts etc were never going to be substainable after we just failed to get back up to the championship. It was a one season deal, we hardly had to cut our cloth last season and had a bigger budget/squad than several championship clubs. Failure at wembley, Ffp rules plus a further cut in tv money will now all take effect. McCabe only has 2 options -- invest more or consolidate our position financially which may see us stagnate in this league. Personally though if we don,t buy another player this season I still believe we are a top 2 club-- just my thoughts keep the faith
Agree1
Disagree1
We have the same back room staff as we did in the premier league... McCabe is trying to streamline a business which is very sensible. Birch failed, Winter is useless so McCabe is doing it himself. All you numbskulls saying we're skint presumably aren't aware that with being made redundant comes a compo package, paid by the club. If we couldn't afford anything, we'd not make people redundant, McCabe would just bust the business. Simple as that. He hasn't, he chosen the proper means. I also guarantee that no one on here and show me a source to say the club's "real estate" is definitely Bramall Lane. More rumours.
