United to sign Brian Howard and replace Doyle as captain

You have to be joking.

This is the ex-Blade who didn't tell his manager (Blackwell) that he was ill and receiving treatment (can't remember what was wrong though, sadly) until Half-Time in a match.

He was substituted, Blackwell told Radio Sheffield afterwards, and I can't remember him playing for us again.

Certainly don't want him back!

I would love this guy to come back he did and got us some important goals when he was with us

Sheffield United are interested in signing Rochdale Midfielder Brian Barry Murphy Wier is said to be a fan of the experienced Irish man. The only stumbling block is the asking price by the league 2 club might stretch the blades limited budget with Wier looking to make 1 or 2 further signings.
