Wont be able to stand if we get clough! he's a hopeless manager did nothing ever with derby and won't do anything with us! We want a manager who gets teams playing exciting and gets then promotions not a guy who can get a job because his dad was a legend!

I like Nigel Clough but all he has done is finish mid table every season with Derby County. He wouldn't be where he is if it wasn't for his dad as well who is my idol.

His dads (the legend) last game in charge was losing to us. his sons first game in charge is us losing!

I know its a very long shot but Roberto di mateo if he was interested would be my choice, wishful thinking I know, we will probably end up with clough who took derby backwards or the long ball kick and hope pulis, would take us back to the sterotypical Sheffield united

Clough looks to be early favourite as Weir already gone. I hope they now look further than Clough.

Roberto di Mateo are you living on another planet haha no chance and as for Pulis he wouldn't come to united you lot will end up with a manager from a lower league club. Allan the terrier

Nice thought but can't see Di Mateo coming. Not sure about Clough although many Derby fans were upset when he got the sack there.

Ive heard that Stephen Pressley the Coventry manager is in the frame. To be honest I thi k he would be a good shout. My gut feeling though is that it will be that clown at Rotherham. Cheap option again.

Cheap option not necessarily a problem now. Will have cost a good bob or two to get rid of Weir. Anyway the Rotherham manager might be a good shout.

Clough and slade doing the rounds, wonder if mcabe is gona spend 2 months looking for a new manager like he did in the summer?

We just blew the best chance we've had of long term success we've had since John Harris so who cares which pawn we get now. Same old McCabe, gutless!
Time HE went.

Well said mate, Weir would have been great another 3 or 4 years down the line. I just hope that we keep the same passing style he introduced but can't see it as every manager who's been named for the job is a long ball man e. g. Slade, Pulis, Clough

No chance of getting Di mateo, more chance of luke ancell getting signed back up for united!

Why wouldn't you be able to get Roberto, the prince was going to buy leeds for millions, he got us for a quid. He could easily afford him. It was said yesterday that it would cost us 10 - 20 million if we went down. If Premiership we are bound then the best will have to be put at the helm.
