Sheffield united to sign the young lad Campbell from Newcastle in the next few days on a season long loan, young pacey striker or so I'm told
United are looking at Reece Brown who has been released by Man Utd.
He played at coventry a few times last year, I understand Carsley wants him to train here
Its about time we got a proven goal scorer not some young lad who may or may not be decent, players like Danny Haynes, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Simeon Jackson, Kevin Davies hell i'd have even taken Matt Green from Mansfield have all been available on a free, all proven goal scorers, if in not mistaken wasn't Weir supposed to get us a striker, we have one CM, one Winger, 2 full backs since his arrival and still that donkey Porter up top, I don't want to be seen as getting on Weirs back already, far from it, but we haven't had a decent goal scorer since Ched and before that it was Brian Deane, its about time we bagged ourselves a guaranteed 20-30 goal a season out and out striker and got ourselves out of this Division and heading the right direction
For me, I doubt any of these rumours will come to anythng. If there is one thing for sure this pre season, the united board have thrown us some surprises. Who who have picked Weir at the end of last season?. Who saw the four new signings coming? I just hope i'm pleasantly surprised if and when some new signing come our way. I'm not holding me breath though
Blades set to sign falkirk striker lyle taylor, age23, 29 goals last year, looks like a brian deane type-hopefully. gaz.
We don't go on looks although apparently, he is also a semi-pro model!
Just because they're part of a premership sides youth setup doesn't immiediately make them quality. I'd rather sign a bunch of players who've got proven track records getting out of League 1!
Horses for courses and all that.
